  1. Ensure you identify the actual route cause and not the symptoms of the problem. Focus on this.
  2. Ensure the customer is at the heart of what you do. Do not get bogged down in internal politics. Ensure someone’s job is to say: “fuck it, just fix it”
  3. Make sure you keep the customer updated along the way as to what is happening, when, and why.
